Traditionally a strong performer in the fall and holiday TV season, Suite929tv was sizzling this summer, too.
From Memorial Day on May 27 through September 9, Suite929tv content has drawn more than 500,000 total viewers across the website, as well as streamer DailyMotion. The boost in viewership coincides with a rising interest for lifestyle content.
Debuting on January 16, “Blvd Bites” scored an impressive 21,009 total viewers (DVW60+ – 60 Day Digital Viewing Window) for the Series Premiere episode. This marks the network’s third highest rated series premiere (behind “Day in the Lyfe of Chryst,” which debuted to 76,000 total viewers, and “The Date Sheet: Exes+Owes” debuting to 29,640 total downloads/streams). The second episode aired on April 22 with 18,000 total viewers (DVW60+), retaining a remarkable 84% from the series premiere. Viewership for Episode 3 (filmed at Love in Action Cafe in Charlotte, NC) and Episode 4 (also filmed in Charlotte at Renaldo’s Culinary Experience) climbed in total viewers from Episode 2. As of October 30, the series has garnered 100,740 total viewers (37% from international markets outside of the United States). The series is primarily hosted by Speaker/Author Carlos V. Davis.
“Today’s viewing audiences have changed drastically since just five years ago in 2018. You have to create content that resonates with viewers from a cultural standpoint that is always at its best when it’s a reflection of the interests of the everyday viewer,” said Chuck Holliday, Producer of “Blvd Bites” and Suite929 Global Founder. “Carlos not only has fun in the kitchen, he also allows for these talented hard working men and women to share stories about their journey without any restrictions. Everyone in our audience can find a perspective to connect with. The summer uptick has been a blessing because Q3 and Q4 are traditionally when the network sees an increase in audience.”
“It has been a true passion to highlight the amazing black chefs, food trucks, and restaurant/venue owners around the globe, and I am so humbled and honored that so many people have tuned in to support them and learn about them,” said Carlos V. Davis. “This is just the beginning for the show, and we can’t wait to continue our journeys across the country and around the globe. We are looking forward to building this community of food enthusiasts!”
